Nov 7: National Cancer Awareness Day

Observed annually in India to raise awareness about cancer. It also coincides with the birth anniversary of Nobel laureate, Marie Curie, whose work contributed to treating cancer with radiotherapy.

Observed annually to raise awareness about the safety of infants.


Nov 8: World Radiography Day

Celebrated to mark the anniversary of the discovery of X-ray or X-radiation by Wilhelm Roentgen in 1895.

Celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.

Observed every year to raise awareness about diabetes, its prevention and management.


Nov 17: National Epilepsy Day

Observed in India every year to raise awareness about Epilepsy, a neurological disorder.


Nov 17: International Students’ Day

Observed to commemorate the courage of student activists during the 1939 Nazi storming of the University of Prague.


Nov 19: World Toilet Day

Observed every year to tackle the global sanitation crisis and spread awareness about access to sanitation and its benefits.


Nov 19: International Men’s Day

Established by Dr Jerome Teelucksingh in the year 1999 to honour his father's birthday. This day is observed every year to raise awareness about issues faced by boys and men.

Observed every year to mark the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. This day is celebrated to raise awareness about the welfare of children.

Observed every year to recognize the role television (TV) plays in our lives and how it affects our decisions.

Observed first in 1973, people greet at least ten people on this day. It shows that conflicts can be resolved by communicating with each other.

Observed annually to raise awareness about the violence against women and increase the measures and policies to end the violence against women.


Nov 26: Constitution Day or National Law Day

Observed every year in India to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1949.
